End of October 2012, the documentary Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry was released on DVD in the Netherlands and Belgium. The film, a world-wide hit, is about the Chinese artist, human rights activist and critic on Hina’s regime: Ai Weiwei. Director Alison Klayman was given unique access to this charismatic artist and his family and friends. It is a detailed portret of contemporary China and one of the most fascinating public figures in China. In the Netherlands the film will be screened in various (arthouse-)cinema’s and in Belgium it will be screened during the Filmfestival of Ghent.
