The Coolsingel as a Monument: history, art and ornaments in 1000 meters

Every two weeks, SIR offers a guided tour over the Coolsingel. The Coolsingel hosts a wealth of art works and ornaments, some are hidden, some are landmarks in plain sight. Expert tour guides Marly Weemen and Wim Konings walk participants past some of the finest sculptures of SIR’s collection, focusing on post-war art and architecture in particular. The tour takes around 1.5 hours, connecting past, present, and (uncertain) future of this boulevard. The Coolsingel as a Monument-tour is a part of SIR’s ongoing program for the Coolsingel: Tribute to an Avenue.

The summer tours will take place throughout July and August 2016.|
