On 30 October 2012 American architect and artist Lebbeus Woods passed away at the age of 72. His experimental designs were often too whimiscal to realize. Lebbeus Woods, born in 1940 in Lansing, Michigan studied architecture and had his first job with Eero Saarinen. Since 1976, he devoted himself to theory and experimental projects. His work Hermitage has been part of SIR’s collection since 2004.
