Quill moved
The sculpture Quill by Phillip King, also known as the ‘Ganzeveer’ (Goose Feather) is being moved.
Phillip King’s sculpture Quill will be moved in 2008. Since 2003 the sculpture has stood on the lawn in the Parklaan and is part of the parade of sculptures known as the ‘Cultural Axis’. The City of Rotterdam acquired the sculpture in 1973. It was placed in the Zuiderpark, where over the years it became obscured as its environment became overgrown. In 1988 the sculpture was placed in storage awaiting a suitable new location.
