Second Rotterdam Sculpture Run

On Saturday May 10, SIR and visual artist Jeroen Jongeleen will host the second edition of a running art route along well-known and lesser known, official and unofficial, prominent and more hidden sculptures along the roads of Rotterdam. It is a self-supported route, so be sure to provide your own food and drink along the way.

Distance: 32 km
Meet-up: from 10 a.m.
Start time: between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m.
Cut-off time and soup: 4 pm
Start and finish location: Het Wilde Weten, Robert Fruinstraat 35. There will be a place to change clothes and leave your belongings here.
Participation: free
A maximum of 40 runners can participate.
Register by May 6 at the latest via Sannetje van Haarst, production@sculptureinternationalrotterdam.nl.

Before departure, Jeroen will give a brief explanation of the Second Rotterdam Sculpture Run. You will also receive a map of the route and a stamp card. At various points along the route, near ten artworks, there will be stampers present, and you can collect ten stamps. Upon your return, your stamp card will be numbered and signed.

At the start and finish, you can grab a drink at the bar. During the run, you’re on your own – you’re self-supporting and participate at your own risk. Be sure to bring plenty of water and some food if needed. There are no facilities available at the stamp stations. Watch out when crossing the street!
