Michael Elmgreen (1961) and Ingar Dragset (1969) live and work in Berlin. Over the course of their careers, they have focused on the way(s) art is presented and can be experienced. In their sculptures and installations, they reshape the familiar with a humorous approach characteristic of them. In doing so, they draw on the fields of performance and architecture, institutional criticism and social politics. With their work, they raise questions regarding social spaces and models as we know them, and thwart the uncritical embrace of the status quo.
